Earnest Apologies

It has been brought to my attention that humans do not dream of sheep.  They count them.

Killer Cell Phones

http://ca.tech.yahoo.com/experts/chrisnull/article/2253

A man in China was killed by an exploding cell phone today. This isn't even the first reported death by an exploding cell phone. What's scary is that the article only cites cell phone deaths in China, leading me to believe that: 1) exploding cell phones are racist and 2) my iPhone is out to get me.

I will be closely monitoring my phone and will keep you updated. Unless, that is, my cell phone kills me.

What Dreams May Come

I've always been captivated by dreams.

It's astounding that our minds organize the infinite amount of information we capture throughout the day into highlight reels, of which, most of us only remember a sound bite or two.  I've never been blessed with great memory for my dreams, but I'm trying to work on it.  I've started a dream journal, which I'm supposed to write in every morning at the very moment of waking because every second wasted is a dream forgotten.

I was reading about lucid dreams the other day.  So apparently, when you're dreaming, if you can realize that you're in a dream, you can begin to control the dream.  And this is where it gets weirder--with the proper timing, you can have shared lucid dreams with a friend.  I don't know whether I believe that one.  Who would have greater control over the dream (I don't have a question mark on my keyboard because I spilt beer on it and now it no longer works.  Just assume that I know better).  If shared lucid dreams are possible, shouldn't that mean that telepathy is also possible.

I ask these questions, but I actually prefer not to know the answers.  Life is more fun when there is mystery.  I was in my psych class the other day (the best spent hour and a half in my week), and the professor was talking about how knowledge is not absolute.  We tend to think that knowledge is an accumulation of facts, but we should really view it a process.  You can read all the books you want, but one day, your knowledge is going to fail you and you will be at ends with yourself.

Making up facts is more fun anyways.
